Platforma Upgrade srdačno vas poziva na projekciju nagrađivanog dokumentarnog filma Jedina zemlja, potraga za putem prema jednakosti i pravdi, koji potpisuje palestinsko-izraelski kolektiv četvero mladih aktivista. Film će se prikazati u Velikoj dvorani Pogona Jedinstvo u srijedu, 13. studenoga s početkom u 18 sati.
Nakon projekcije održat će se razgovor na kojem će sudjelovati Lucija Mulalić iz Centra za mirovne studije te Maja Osmančević iz inicijative Studentice za Palestinu.
O filmu
Mladi palestinski aktivist po imenu Basel Adra snima postupno uništavanje i opire se prisilnom raseljavanju stanovnika u Masafer Yatti, regiji na Zapadnoj obali. Sprijateljuje se s Yuvalom, izraelskim novinarom koji mu pomaže u njegovoj borbi. Oni stvore neočekivanu vezu, ali njihovo prijateljstvo nađe se pred neočekivanim izazovom zbog ogromnog jaza između njihovih životnih uvjeta.
O autorima
Basel Adra palestinski je odvjetnik, novinar i redatelj iz Masafer Yatta. Aktivizmom i dokumentarizmom bavi se od svoje 15. godine boreći se protiv izraelskog masovnog protjerivanja njegove zajednice.
Hamdan Ballal palestinski je fotograf, filmaš i farmer iz Susye, a radio je kao istraživač za nekoliko grupa koje se bore protiv okupacije i za ljudska prava.
Yuval Abraham izraelski je redatelj i istraživački novinar iz Jeruzalema.
Rachel Szor izraelska je snimateljica, montažerka i redateljica iz Jeruzalema.
Platforma Upgrade je neformalna mreža organizacija civilnog društva iz različitih sektora djelovanja (ljudskih prava, održivog življenja, ekologije, područja kulture, umjetnosti i mladih) koju koordinira organizacija Operacija grad. Cilj Platforme Upgrade je razvoj i otvaranje Interkulturnog društvenog centra (IDC) koji kroz inovativne i kreativne prakse odgovara na potrebe lokalne zajednice i šireg civilnog društva, ali i na aktualne društvene i kulturne izazove grada Zagreba.

Platform Upgrade invites you to the film screening of the award-winning documentary film NO OTHER LAND, the search for a path to equality and justice, produced by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists. The film will be shown in the Large Hall of Pogon Jedinstvo on Wednesday, November 11th at 18:00.
After the screening there will be a talk with Lucija Mulalić from Centre for Peace Studies and Maja Osmančević from the Students for Palestine initiative.
The film will be screened with English subtitles.
About the film
Young Palestinian activist Basel Adra films the systematic destruction and resists the forced displacement of people in Masafer Yatti, a region on the West Bank. He befriends Yuval, an Israeli journalist who helps him in his fight. They forge an unlikely bond, but their friendship encounters an unexpected challenge due to the enormous differences between their living conditions.
About the authors
Basel Adra is a Palestinian lawyer, journalist and film director from Masafer Yatta. He has been an activist and documentary filmmaker since he was 15, fighting the Israeli mass displacement of his people.
Hamdan Ballal is a Palestinian photographer, film maker and farmer from Susya. He worked as a researcher for several groups fighting against the occupation and for human rights.
Yuval Abraham is an Israeli director and investigative journalist from Jerusalem.
Rachel Szor is an Israeli videographer, editor and director from Jerusalem.
Platform Upgrade is a non-formal network of civil society organisations from different sectors (human rights, sustainable living, environmental protection, culture, art and youth), coordinated by Operation City. The goal of Upgrade is the development and opening of the Intercultural social centre, a cultural centre that will answer to the needs of local communities, civil society and current social and cultural challenges of Zagreb by using innovative and creative practices.
