Damjana Ellis


Damjana Ellis is a Croatian comedian, sketch creator and burek ambassador based out of Toronto. She moved to Canada in 2014 and her comedy routine is inspired by cultural differences between North America and Eastern Europe. With her unique, deadpan comedy style, Damjana is crushing stereotypes about Eastern European women and introducing the world to Balkan customs one joke at a time.

Stanko Zovak

Stanko is a 3rd generation Croatian-American who moved from Los Angeles to discover his roots and learn the Croatian language. Living in Zagreb for 2 years now, his Croatian is still not very good, but his English onstage is good enough as he likes comparing life in the U.S. with life here in Croatia. In his free time he runs a podcast for the Croatian diaspora in English, plays tennis, and goes for pivo every chance he gets.


Cody Brown

Cody has been living in Croatia long enough to be able to pronounce three-letter words with no vowels (trg, Krk, smrt) the Slavic way. He is the author of two bestselling books — Chasing a Croatian Girl: A Survivor’s Tale and Croatia Strikes Back. And a third less selling book. 
Damjana, Stanko, and Cody have tons of great stories for you.
