Komedija u kojoj su ljudska uskogrudnost, pametovanje oko ničega, obrana mentalnog hendikepa i ograničenost, jedina oružja kojima se ovi ljudi bore za prevlast unutar životnih okolnosti. Srečko Frljužec, koji zna gdje je njemu mjesto u kući, nema puno slobode između žene Đurđice i žestoke punice Štefice. Malo topline u Srečkov život unosi prijatelj Ivek, a najviše iskrene ljubavi iskazuje susjed Đura prema svojoj simpatiji iz srednje škole, gospođi Štefici. Najaktualniji problemi komedije su politički, ekonomski i društveni, a upravo je ljubav ta koja bi trebala biti uvijek najaktualnija.
