Kultni LAIBACH: Opus Dei 6. kolovoza u Malom rimskom kazalištu!

Opus Dei: Laibach
Pula Summer of Culture is proud to announce the performance of the Slovenian music collective Laibach!
The tour called Opus Dei refers to the status album from 1987, which is being released this year in a remastered edition and is announced by a concert tour in Europe. It is an opportunity to hear all the songs from the album in a new guise for the first time after many years, as well as those created before Opus Dei, including their legendary musical classics.
The band, founded more than 40 years ago, represents one of the most important and influential avant-garde musical ensembles from the territory of the former Yugoslavia and beyond. Laibach was founded by Dejan Knez, Milan Fras, Ivan Novak and Ervin Markošek. The band's name, which is the German name for Ljubljana, immediately attracted attention and controversy, since it was used by the Nazis during the occupation of Slovenia in World War II. This provocation was part of Laibach's broader strategy of using shock and subversion as a means of expression.
Their early work was marked by a strong influence of industrial and electronic music, as well as radical political attitudes that often caused controversy, and until today they have maintained their provocative expression through a strong visual identity and complex musical structures that combine industrial, electronic, rock and classical music.
Laibach's influence extends beyond musical circles, inspiring artists, theorists and activists. Their critique of totalitarianism, capitalism and contemporary politics, as well as their ability to provoke and stimulate thought, make them one of the most important avant-garde bands of our time. At a time when art is often sterilized and commercialized, Laibach reminds us of the power of provocation and the importance of critical thinking.
Do not miss the opportunity to be artistically provoked on August 6. in the Small Roman Theater!
