Kal bend - Rock´N´Roma

Glazbena grupa Kal oformljena je 1996. Godine u Valjevu.
Kreatori eklektičnog zvuka koji nastaje simbiozom, raznolikih glazbenih žanrova, poput glazbe Zapadnog Balkana, swinga, jazz-a, blues-a i pop-a. Kal bend donosi jedan sasvim originalan i neodoljiv zvuk. Spoj balkanskog stila i romskog ritma.

Samobitna estetika mola koju su zapadni glazbeni kritičari nazvali:  Rock´N´Roma, ili Gypsy Rockabilly.
Kako kaže gitarist i frontmen grupe Dragan Ristić: Brendiranje romske kulture je neophodno. Zar nam to svima u amanet nisu ostavili Bora Stanković, Mika Antić i mnogi drugi srpski umetnici koji su slavili romsku kulturu.
Autentičan naziv Kal potiče iz romskog jezika i označava crno.

Uz desetak odrađenih europskih turneja Kal u svojoj dugogodišnjoj povijesti broji i dvije američke turneje (2006. i 2008. godine) u gdje su nastupali na kultnim pozornicama poput Džoov Pub-a u New York-u. Na istoj sceni nastupali su Richard Tompson, Lenard Cohen, Dolly Parton i mnoga drugi svijetski priznati umetnici. Upravo američka turneja “krivac” je za suradnju s jednom od najpoznatijih glazbenih atrakcija iz New York-a – Gogol Bordello.
