J.R. August osvojio je publiku i kritiku svojim neprikosnovenim talentom, a na Culture Shock dolazi u pratnji saksofonista i zbora! Glazbenik svjetskog kalibra i trostruki dobitnik nagrade Porin, na ovogodišnjem je izdanju dodjele nagrada postavio dva velika presedana: prvi puta u povijesti nagrade, Porin za album godine osvojio je najbolji novi izvođač te je albumom godine proglašen album na engleskom jeziku.


Album Dangerous Waters, na kojem se nalazi deset J.R.-ovih glazbenih majstorija, publika i kritika prihvatili su s oduševljenjem: osim na Porinu, J.R. je trijumfirao i na dodjeli nagrada Rock&Off, osvojio je nagradu Music Pub Zlatka Turkalja za album godine te se našao na vrhu većine godišnjih top lista najboljih albuma. Nedavno objavljena kolekcija triju EP-jeva Murky Waters donosi jedanaest J.R.-ovih uspješnica, pjesme s kojima je sve započelo: The Darkroom Boogie, Black Limousine, Distort Reality, Change of Seasons i druge. | J.R.
